Here’s How to Get Free or Low-Cost Birth Control in Missouri
Birth control is an incredible tool that gives you the power to make your own plans, on your own schedule, and on your own terms. Unfortunately, birth control is difficult for some people to get because they might not have health insurance or can’t find time in their schedule to get to a provider in person.
The Right Time initiative is committed to making birth control easier to access. There are 31 health centers around the state of Missouri participating in The Right Time initiative. Facilities like Planned Parenthood, Pike County Memorial Hospital, Jefferson County Health Department, and Clarity Healthcare (and many more!) are committed to empowering individuals to take control of their own health by improving information about, and removing barriers to, contraceptive services.
We do this by:
- Offering access to all methods of birth control.
- Reducing the cost of birth control (or even making it free) for those who need it.
- Providing telehealth appointments (in some locations).
You can find the health center nearest you by entering your city or zip code into our locator tool. Then, it’s as simple as reaching out to your chosen location and making an appointment to talk to a provider, who can help you decide on a method that best matches your lifestyle and preferences. Everything is confidential, and you’ll never be pressured to use one method over another.
